The Law Firm of Sean J. McIlhinney prides itself in fighting for justice and winning. The firm focuses on criminal defense with an emphasis on DUI and civil litigation. Sean authored an article titled "Brief Overview of Georgia's Law on DUI, Drug Crimes, License Suspensions & Parole" which can be accessed from his website.
Sean graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University in 1991 and completed law school at Georgia State University in 1995, where he again graduated with honors, cum laude, and was a member of the Law Review.
Upon graduation, Sean accepted a position at King & Spalding, the premier law firm in Atlanta and the Southeast, where he worked for approximately three years in the Products Liability Department as a litigator representing clients such as General Motors and Brown & Williamson, a tobacco manufacturer, in national high profile/high stakes cases.
In late 1998 Sean opened the firm and decided to fight for justice by representing individuals arrested and accused of DUI and crimes and people injured in accidents. With much hard work and great successes, the practice quickly expanded and now also represents many small businesses involved in civil litigation, contract disputes and collection of unpaid debts. Clients include IMEDEX USA, Inc., an international company with more than 50 employees, International Communications Inc., based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and numerous small to medium sized businesses located in the Atlanta metropolitan area such as InfoSoft Inc., Java Technologies, Inc., Statewide Siding and Quarry Truck Center, L.L.C.
